A Clearing in the DistanceWitold Rybczynski |

This is a biography of Frederick Law Olmsted. I was browsing in the Reader's Forum and when I first saw the book I had no idea who Frederick Law Olmsted was except that I believe he had his face on a commemorative stamp rather recently. But the book looked interesting and I bought it. Olmsted was the man who designed Central Park in New York City and went on to become the country’s foremost landscape architect. It is an interesting book and I am glad I bought it. — Warren Langdon |
